How long is a session? The counselling time is 50minutes, but for the initial consultation this may be longer to enable me to take the details and information that will help with our work together. If you choose quit smoking in one session - please allow 2 hours How many sessions will I need? This depends on the work we need to do together. I will not continue counselling unless I feel it is appropriate, and at any time you are free to stop our sessions. I generally recommend four sessions to begin with, this gives time to begin feeling the benefit of our work together. Sometimes more are needed, sometimes less. Does Hypnotherapy mean I will lose control? Not at all. It is a common mis-conception that you will be under the spell of the hypnotherapist. This is due largely to what people have seen in films, on stage etc. I cannot and would not do anything you do not want to do. You would reject anything that does not feel 'right' for you.

Alongside the work I do privately, I work for Cruse Bereavement as a volunteer counsellor and Supervisor. I am a member of the Hypnotherapy Society and Accredited by the National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy. I am also an Accredited member of the Counselling Society. I am fully insured to work with both individual clients and group sessions. (please check your junk mail box as some systems do not recognise my response to you)
