"If our life is spent waiting for tomorrow, and looking back at yesterday, when do we have time to take care of today?" Why 'Changes for Living'?
I
chose the name 'Changes for Living', because that's what I believe
makes the difference between success and failure. What is the point of
trying to make changes that you couldn't possibly live with or be able
to carry through? So it made sense to me that if any changes are to be
successful they have to be something that fits with you, your values
and to be realistic.
The initial consultation is a time to explore the client’s needs and how best I can help.
I will take your history, in other words, you tell your story, including what you would like to achieve from therapy.
I will then explain in more detail my particular way of working and make suggestions of what might work for best for you, and how many sessions it might take.
If we both feel, we can work together, we will decide the best way forward, clear up any last minute anxieties, and make arrangements to begin the therapy.
Ongoing
As the therapy progresses I will continue to make sure you are happy with the way we are working. It is important that we both feel comfortable with our working relationship.
The client's well-being is paramount and anything discussed is confidential.
Client sessions last for approx one hour, and I would appreciate 24hrs notice if you are unable to attend. Sessions missed without notice will still be subject to charge.
The cost of a session is £40.00 per hour.
Weekend appointments available
"If you do what you always do, you will get what you always got."
Think about this statement for a moment. If the behaviours and coping strategies you use right now don't result in the outcome you want, then they are not working for you, and maybe it's time to look at another way.
You don't have to change your whole lifestyle in one go. One step at a time is enough to make a difference.
Alongside the work I do privately, I work for Cruse Bereavement as a volunteer counsellor
I am a member of the Hypnotherapy Society and Accredited by the National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy.
I am also an Accredited member of the Counselling Society.
I am fully insured to work with both individual clients and group sessions.
